Meet Janet Lam

Janet Lam is a TEDx speaker, business strategist, and Host of Worth It. She brings over 17 years of experience spanning capital markets, business strategy, and wellness, having advised entrepreneurs and companies across North America and Asia and helped clients secure over $135M in funding. Her work has been featured in Forbes, Business Insider, and Yahoo Finance, among others.

Her TEDx talk explored trusting your own logic to define your own value, a theme she's since built into her podcast, Worth It with Janet Lam, and her writing for Forbes Business Council. She is a member of the Forbes Business Council and was recognized as one of the Top 100 People in Finance by The Top 100 Magazine.

How I Got Here

Born in Hong Kong, Janet grew up in Canada, where she pursued her education, graduating from the University of British Columbia with a degree in Mathematics. With an MBA from ESADE Business School in Barcelona (ranked #7 in the world, Financial Times Global MBA Rankings 2026), she built a career bridging the gap between technology and business, founding Building Blocks Business Planning and co-founding a wellness platform, while helping entrepreneurs across North America and Asia grow and prepare for funding and listing. She speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
